A super-sharp tool for the classic wet shave. Manufactured for Dr. Dittmar at the Ralf Aust factory in Solingen. The razor's handcrafted scale is made of wenge. Made in Germany.
The razor's handle is handcrafted from wenge wood. It's an oily wood that's relatively resistant to moisture.
Ralf Aust razors are manufactured in Solingen to the high quality typical of Solingen. They feature a full hollow ground 7/8-inch blade, a Spanish head, a serrated tang on both the top and bottom, and are made of highly refined special steel (carbon steel, not stainless). Razors should be stropped with the leather strop before each shave.
A razor lasts a lifetime—saving a lot of money compared to a system razor. Plus, the shave is even closer.
We recommend the alkaline Dr. Dittmar special shaving soap for the classic razor shave.
