Satinwood, also known as Yellowheart, is a durable, light-colored wood that, when polished with beeswax, develops a gentle sheen (like satin) because the surface is remarkably smooth, especially for a wooden comb. There are also absolutely no bumps between the teeth, which is a real advantage compared to conventional wooden combs (e.g., made of beechwood).
The Elephant's Cress gets its name from the "eye," which gives it a resemblance to an elephant—admittedly, an elephant with six legs and a very powerful tail....
The "eye" also has a practical use: you can use the leather strap to make the comb easier to find in your handbag or even hang it up in the bathroom.
Mass:
Length: approx. 9.5 cm
Height approx. 8 cm
Tine spacing: approx. 8 mm
Prong length: approx. 4 cm
Thickness of the material approx. 0.5 cm
Weight: approx. 25 grams (without leather strap)
