A super-sharp tool for a classic wet shave. The razor's unusually shaped handle is made of the finest Irish horn, which is very finely grained golden cattle horn with only a few color nuances that can fade into white or light brown. Despite (or perhaps because of) its slightly different shape, the razor sits very comfortably in the hand and isn't too heavy.
The horn bowl was handcrafted and aged for a long time to prevent any subsequent deformation of the horn. However, horn should not be stored lying down in the sun or exposed to aggressive cleaning agents.


Dr. Dittmar razors are made in Solingen, double hollow ground 5/8 inch blade, highly refined special steel (carbon steel) not stainless.

Razors should be stropped with the leather strop before each shave.
