The razor's handle is handcrafted from wenge wood. It's an oily wood that's relatively resistant to moisture.
Dr. Dittmar razors are manufactured in Solingen to the high quality customary there. They feature a full hollow ground 5/8-inch blade, a rounded head, and highly refined special steel (carbon steel, not stainless). Razors should be stropped with the leather strop before each shave.
A razor lasts a lifetime—saving a lot of money compared to a system razor. Plus, the shave is even closer.
We recommend the alkaline Dr. Dittmar special shaving soap for the classic razor shave.
