In 1972, the first shaving soap from Dittmar hit the market. It was marketed under the "Wildschwein" brand. This was a marketing faux pas. The (tallow) soap itself was good, but unfortunately, it wasn't sold enough.
At the end of the 1970s, the trend to avoid animal ingredients wherever possible emerged. Rainer Dittmar developed a purely plant-based shaving soap and marketed it under the brands Golddachs in Europe and Rivivage in the USA. This became a commercial success, upon which the current development of our new Dr. Dittmar brand products is still built.
The collapse of international supply chains and the immense price increases for transport are bringing us back to our homes. What is there to eat in Germany, and how was soap made in the past?
Back to the future!
One result is Dr. Dittmar tallow shaving soap.
Made with local beef tallow, which has been abundantly available as long as beef is still being eaten. With a foam stability that even surpasses that of our proven herbal special shaving soap.
A sustainable solution(*) for a good shave.
(*)This applies at least as long as beef tallow is produced as an animal by-product in our country and can thus replace oils from tropical cultivation areas.
Contents: Fresh weight 50g
The shaving brush shown in the photo is NOT included in the price.
