The elegant black shaving set consists of a razor for Gillette Fusion razor blades with an ergonomically shaped handle made of solid acrylic glass, a shaving brush with a thick black rubber handle and chrome-plated brass appliqués, and a holder for both, also made of solid acrylic glass with high-quality chrome-plated brass connectors. The holder also features a very thick fork for the brush and razor, handcrafted. Acrylic glass (also known in Germany under the trade name Plexiglas (TM)) is highly break-resistant and, like wood or metal, is shaped on a lathe. Unlike injection-molded plastics, Plexiglas is quite heavy and completely break- and crack-resistant.
The razor features the original Gillette blade holder and blade. In a complex process, the original blade adapters are adapted for use with other handles. The adaptation is done by hand using high-quality chrome-plated brass connectors.
The result is exceptional, modern to classic razors made from many high-quality materials with the most modern and successful shaving system of our time.
What's unusual about this set is the relatively low height of the brush and razor holder compared to most shaving sets, giving the set a distinctive look. As befits a set of this quality, the brush is made with the finest premium silvertip badger hair available—naturally, like the entire set, it's handcrafted in Alpenrod, Westerwald, and comes with the comprehensive Dr. Dittmar quality guarantee.
