Large hairbrush with pure boar bristles, predominantly first cut in 130 bundles. Visible bristle length approximately 2 cm.

Suitable for short, medium to shoulder-length straight hair.

The large brush head allows for a quick and thorough brushing of the hair. The high-quality, medium-hard boar bristles, predominantly from the first cut (i.e., with the light-colored tip of the original bristle root), grip the hair well and even reach the scalp, provided the hair isn't too thick or curly (...in which case, only the much more expensive brushes with Himalayan-quality bristles will do the trick...).

The brush body is made of local beechwood, polished, and unvarnished. The brush can be cleaned under running water as needed, but should not be stored lying down in water.

Total length: approx. 23cm
Dimensions of the brush head: approx. 12cm x 7cm

Shiny, beautiful, and strong hair—but how?

On the scalp, next to each hair, lies a sebaceous gland that produces hair oil. This protective and nourishing substance keeps hair elastic and healthy.
Shampooing (and this applies to all shampoos) removes the hair oil. If the correct amount isn't replaced along the entire length of the hair after each daily wash, the outer layer of the hair begins to spread away from the hair shaft.
The result is dull and brittle hair (frizz). If the hair is completely dry, the ends eventually split. This splitting of the hair ends is commonly referred to as split ends.

Plastic brushes, wire brushes, and even brushes with wooden pins glide through the hair without allowing the hair oil to stick to them. These brushes plow through the hair like a plow through the earth. The hair is pulled flat, and the stiffness of the bristles simply tears apart any hair that doesn't want to slide smoothly through the brush.
Real boar bristles work differently! Only real boar bristles have the ability to absorb hair oil and evenly distribute it throughout the hair where it's lacking.
The structure of natural bristles is almost identical to that of human hair. Therefore, the hair oil is absorbed by the bristles at the roots and released where it's most needed. This is usually the ends of your hair. The elasticity of natural bristles also prevents individual hairs from being pulled apart during brushing. The natural bristles gently separate these hairs without damaging them.
Our grandmothers still knew that 100 brush strokes a day made their hair look shiny and beautiful. They brushed their hair every day with a natural bristle hairbrush, because plastic or wire brushes didn't exist yet.
