The large acrylic shaving soap bowl offers plenty of room for lathering. The chrome-plated brass lid with knob prevents the shaving soap from drying out and protects against dust.
Acrylic glass, or Plexiglas (TM), is extremely durable, shatter-resistant, timelessly elegant, relatively heavy, and... like wood, requires a complex molding process. Unlike plastics, acrylic glass is not machine-molded into shape, but rather is shaped and polished by hand, sometimes extensively.
The large shaving soap bowl offers plenty of room for lathering the shaving soap. The chrome-plated brass lid with its knob prevents the shaving soap from drying out and protects against dust.
Acrylic glass is resistant to the components of soap (and, of course, to water), but contact with or cleaning with alcohol or alcohol-based cleaners must be avoided. Unlike many (coated) metal soap dishes, the material never discolors, and no residue remains on the soap.
Acrylic glass is the optimal material for storing shaving soap because there are no known reactions with the ingredients.
