The visible bristle length is approximately 15mm – the advantage of this is that the bristles don't sag too much and can also reach the scalp when brushing. This is particularly important because the conditioning effect of boar bristles is primarily achieved by the bristles absorbing (excess) hair oil from the scalp and releasing it back into the dry areas of the hair.

This hairbrush is ideal for short to medium-length, thick hair.

For very curly hair, however, the relatively short bristles are less suitable. In these cases, the (significantly more expensive) Himalayan bristle hairbrushes are often the only alternative. For long, straight hair, a fan-shaped arrangement of the bristles is more suitable than a straight one. You can also find the appropriate hairbrush in our range (beechwood).
