The shaving brush is essential for lathering up shaving soap. The PUR is rather minimalist in design, but has a well-sized brush head with a 21mm ring diameter and is made of 100% pure, high-quality badger hair. It can be easily hung on the wall to dry.
Dr. Dittmar shaving soap:
For a safety razor shave, just as for shaving with a straight razor, the use of an alkaline shaving soap is highly recommended. Only shaving soap can soften the beard hair and optimally prepare the skin for a razor shave. Canned shaving foams, or even shaving gels or oils, do not soften the beard hair and have no swelling effect on the skin. They primarily act as a lubricant for system blades, so they have no place in a traditional shave. The aluminum travel tin contains 100 grams of Dr. Dittmar Special Shaving Soap. Enough shaving soap for about six months of daily shaving.
