Hair accessories made of real horn can only be made by hand.
Each piece must be carefully selected and sawn out of the original horn plate. This is followed by the artful shaping of the future barrette, a careful finishing touch, and a final polishing with beeswax.The patented braces, which originate from France, are nickel-free and galvanized and are also assembled by hand. Dr. Dittmar is probably the only manufacturer to use a stabilizing acrylic plate, which is placed between the horn and the metal. This ensures a durable and secure screw connection.
Please avoid washing the horn comb too often with water. If necessary, use a mild shampoo and treat it with original Dr. Dittmar Horn Comb Balsam after each wet cleaning.
