Nutshell

Elegant shaving soap dish made of solid walnut wood with a lid. Walnut has a fairly high oil content and is therefore naturally resistant to moisture. A careful wax polish provides additional protection. We were able to forgo varnishing.

The fine grain of this timber (plantation walnut) has a very refined appearance, and its durability and torsional rigidity rival those of precious woods. Therefore, walnut is a good alternative to rosewood (Dalbergia) woods.
