You can also use it to portion out foam for shaving and keep your hand foam-free - (but who wants to use foam when there are such beautiful brushes and such good shaving soaps?)

The horn has been carefully polished and is thus well protected against soap and water by a layer of beeswax. Even moisture left over from soap will not harm the shell. However, if the shell ever needs cleaning, you should avoid very hot water, household cleaners, or even putting it in the dishwasher, or flash-drying it on a radiator or with a hairdryer.

Horn has a very pleasant feel—after all, the material originates from the same source as our skin itself. Each bowl looks slightly different, as the horn always has its own unique grain. The natural material doesn't release harmful substances and doesn't react with shaving soap.
